In the video titled “Introduction to Human Services Administration," the video highlights several issues faced by the human service administrator. For this assignment, I will choose the issue regarding the requirements of becoming a food bank agency as highlighted by Rob Randels. Any group that seeks to be certified as a food bank agency must sign liability releases. It seeks to protect the anonymity of the donor. Moreover, such an agency must be committed to the safekeeping of the foodstuff they collect. The activities and operations of such agency group must be open to scrutiny and monitoring. The agency group must comply with the strict requirement of ensuring that all the collected foodstuffs end to the needy people rather than repackage and sell in a business model. Lastly, the agency is required to adhere to the strict procedure of obtaining the food from the food bank and distributing such food. The major conceptual framework that corresponds to the human service administration issue discussed above is the structural conceptual framework. The conceptual framework mainly helps in promoting operations towards a specific goal and enhancing the efficiency of operations within an organization (Reamer, 2008). Firstly, the issue raises concerns about compliance with strict procedures. Such procedures are put in place to ensure that the agency meets the goals for which it is set. Secondly, the issue describes the requirement to ensure that the food finally reaches the targeted group of people and addresses the goals of the urgency. Lastly, the issue highlights procedural ways to be followed in ensuring that the food ends to the right people and addresses the efficiency of the process that the agency should employ. Therefore, the issue in question addresses the concerns of efficiency and goals that are pertinent to the conceptual framework.
The most effective leadership style under the structural conceptual framework is the structural leadership style. Such a leadership style is more committed to adopting the structures and strategies that that will aim at creating efficiencies of operations and ensuring that the organization or urgency meets the targeted goals. As such, a strategic leadership style will ensure that the urgency is well prepared to comply with the laid down and required statutory procedures.
